Interest group Stichting Wakkerpolis has started proceedings against ASR to recover about 5.5 billion in fees, which it says ASR collected from its customers without justification when selling Waerdye investment policies. She also did so under other names, such as “City of Rotterdam.” Adriaan de Gier of De Gier Business Finance Law is supervising the claim and litigating for Wakkerpolis. Policyholders (including former policyholders) of ASR would be well advised to report their claim to Wakkerpolis to prevent their claim from becoming time-barred. Reporting costs nothing and can be done at www.wakkerpolis.nl. Only if the costs are actually reimbursed by ASR will participants owe a percentage of the success.
